Chili Made Easy

Chop and sauté (fry) in oil

1/2 onion (chopped)


Brown in large sauce pan

1 pound ground beef

Pour off grease and stir in the browned onions


Add to the sauce pan and stir

1 -2 cans tomatoes (if you like soupy- leave out the canned tomatoes)

1 large can tomato juice (If you like thick leave out the juice)

1/2 tsp minced garlic

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

sprinkle of chili powder (or more to your taste)



Other optional additions -

1 can beans (kidney, black or northern beans all work great)

A few sweet peppers (chopped)

for spicy add

hot sauce, chili peppers and/or cyan pepper


Serve right away or cook on low longer for better flavor

Cook in the crock pot 8-12 hours for the best flavor
