Chalk Prayer Plant

Note from the artist Lana Shea:

This prayer plant was passed down to me from my mother-in-law and has been through many moves over the years. It is called a prayer plant because at night the leaves reach upward as if to pray. The browned edges of my prayer plant show that they have been bruised by something that was harsh to its regular routine.

Unlike the prayer plant, we can pray to God anytime and anywhere. Harsh circumstances can actually make us stronger as we choose to call out and trust in Him. I am thankful God never gets tired of hearing from those who love Him. He helps us through each challenge along the way.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
